From the above listing, you will realise that Class B Licence holders have limited
frequencies to experiment with. No wonder that most Class B stations are "talking" only..

  • Hello All,

    I feel great sadness each time I see this list. Just look at the world above 1 GHz. There are so many frequencies there.

    And I can say nearly no one uses this band. I do monitor the 2.4 GHz band for satellite downlinks but that is all I could do. Class B are not allowed to uplink on 1.2 GHz. I really hope that someone will do something about this rather than leaving this band unused. Its really a very sad thing.

  • What can I say? By looking at the long list of spectrum hold by Class A are mostly 60% of the spectrum is not being use in Malaysia... thus "What a waste and ton's of dust being pile up over those spectrum!" now is time to sweep out the dust for good and get hold of it for 9W2 to be experiemented rather left for unhandle.

  • Yes, I would NEVER end this until the BANDS ARE OPENED FOR 9W LICENSE HOLDERS.

    Like what 9W2CBL said, what a waste of those spectrum. If those who have the license do not use it, or DO NOT KNOW how to use it, then kindly allow us who KNOWS HOW TO USE IT to use it and make amateur radio in Malaysia famous and show that MALAYSIA BOLEH!!!!!

  • CW and other forms of contact using Amateur bands was good during the early days when radio was the only viable means for communications.

    Presently, we have Fax machines/Mobile fones/Satellites, making Amateur Radio very insignificant means for comms.

    If only 9Ms can use (if they use it) the abundant available Spectrum
    then OK. But we all know that the above statement is not true.

    Therefor open the bands to 9Ws..then it will surely be used!

  • I have to agree entirely with what 9W2SSJ said.

    I feel the same too. If the 9Ms use the spectrum, then ok, I will keep quiet. Just like the HF spectrum, they are using it, so I say you go ahead. But now I am asking for spectrums > 1 GHz, because NEARLY NO ONE USES IT.

    I monitor the 1.2 GHz and 2.4 GHz spectrum fairly often and I can tell you during my observation session, I have not heard a single person using it. (There may be one or two extremely rare people using it, but what I am saying is that I have not heard anyone using it yet. Unlike the 50 MHz or 430 MHz band where there are occasionally one or two amateurs using it)

  • From 2000+ certified amateur station about 400+ station is 9Ms. Has it being done anything to high spectrum or studies and experimented by them? I seldom heard them saying that they have good time in those High spectrum frequency, the only what i heard from them is HF is great frequency to play with.

    There are few of them goes to High Frequency but that i guess 20% of the 9Ms experimented. so what the rest of the 9Ms?

    Open up the frequency to 9Ws for us to be studies and experiments.

    Come to think of it, I would vote for Tony. At least he's got balls. You
    are employed, I assume at some Chinese imperial court as the Royal Eunuch.

    I would like to see how you handle yourself if you lost your job. I think most
    would agree, Tony has kept his dignity. So... its just plain mean and unkind to
    hit someone when he is not able to defend himself.

    Tell you what. Give us a time and date. We will host an eyeball debate. YOu and him.

  • Gents, I think I am addressing eveyrone, Anonymouse included.

    I had a QSO with Rodney, and Chandran (sorry if misspelled) approx 1720 hrs today and coincidentally, they asked if I was running for president. The official answer? I am not, as this is a non election year, but I would be lying if I said that I had no intentions. To make it official? It really depends if members think that I am doing my part.
    I am certainly trying, and so are a few others, though they are probably not as vocal as I am.

    I have always been taught to stand up for my rights, and the believes that I stand for. I believe that MARTs has the potential and with the right support, we will be able to push Amateur Radio to greater heights. I have even spoken to a few senior members, and I tried to convince them to run for the top post next year as I believe that they are in a in a better position to champion MARTS's rights.

    Recently, I saw a posting that question my unemployment. I see that most in our current council are employed. Are they doing a good job? If they are, why are there so many others who think that they are not?
    I am not trying to promote myself, but I am certainly trying my best to better the society.

    If you have something personal against me, please talk to me. As I am doing my part for the society , I ask you not to judge me but for what I stand for and certainly what I did to be judged at. I on my part will support anyone who puts the society ahead of himself.

    So to answer my friend's questions on my running for Presidency, I will announce on the blog, when I finalise my 'Three year plan' . For those who do not know me, I am just someone who believes in what I am doing.
    If you believe in it to, then lets create a louder voice.

    The council is doing their job, but thats as far as it goes . .
